A real solidarity adventure

Solidarity in the heart of the Trophée Roses des Sables

The Trophée Roses des Sables supports causes that are very important for women. Through their participation in this solidarity rally in Morocco the Roses give their support to four different associations.

Enfants du Désert has been the historical partner of Désertours, thanks to which, since 2005, the donations of the participants of the Raid 4L Trophy, the Trek Roses Trip and the Trophée Roses des Andes are used in an effective and targeted way. They work in favour of the children of the countries we visit.

« Learn how to read, write and count: is a right that should be accessible to all! » is the motto of the association whose president is Lætitia Chevallier. In Morocco, their goal is to make education accessible for the greater number of children. Here are some of the key actions of the Enfants du Désert association in the isolated villages of Morocco: they have built schools, classrooms with brick walls, nurseries and playgrounds, libraries in each of these structures, sport fields, toilets and sanitary blocks, vegetable gardens and have installed photovoltaic equipment and have donated scholar and computer equipments as well as toys and games.

Apart from this main goal many other major issues linked to housing and health conditions are also part of their field of action, in favour of a global approach that will benefit the children in need. Therefore, medical considerations play now a major role in the association's actions, from the simple but indispensable hygiene prevention session to the financing of surgery. Housing renovations as well as water and electricity access has gained more importance in order to support the families.

To complete all these actions, it is also possible to support directly children. 150 children benefit from this personalized sponsorship based on their individual needs, through scholar, medical or nutrition support. The children benefit from a regular and personalized assistance.
